This week, we had the pleasure of conducting a microscopy demonstration at the Cellular & Molecular Imaging Core Facility (CMIC) at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), showcasing the integration of the Nikon Eclipse Ti2 inverted microscope with both the STEDYCON 2 from abberior and a FLIM system from PicoQuant.
The STED demonstration highlighted how this powerful technology enables researchers to overcome the diffraction limit of conventional light microscopy and achieve exceptional super-resolution imaging through a streamlined and user-friendly workflow.
In parallel, the Fluorescence Lifetime Imaging Microscopy (FLIM) demonstration showcased the value of time-resolved imaging by measuring fluorescence lifetimes rather than fluorescence intensity alone, enabling the investigation of molecular interactions, cellular metabolism, and environmental changes within biological samples.
The demonstration was conducted by Dominik Michael Frei, Product Specialist at Inter Instrument AS, together with Jan Vávra, Territory Manager at abberior.
