The X-light confocal series, fully integrated with Nikon’s superb microscope platforms and optics, is designed to cover any imaging need: from a budget-friendly upgrade of a widefield microscope (V2 with LED or laser illumination) into a confocal system, to a cutting-edge confocal system for the most challenging applications (V3).
The strength of CrestOptics solutions relies on the high quality of the optical design and on the flexibility of each component, allowing to generate tailor-made solutions to match even the most demanding challenges.
Both, the X-Light V2 and V3 models are capable of utilizing the large FOV of Nikon microscopes for confocal and wide-field imaging over ø25mm (both upright and inverted). The V3 offers extremely even illumination from UV to near-IR excitation using Nikon’s new Plan Apo lambda D series objectives.
The X-Light series is fully integrated in NIS-Elements software and can be mounted to the Nikon ECLIPSE Ni-E upright and Ti2 series inverted microscopes.
The full flexibility of the Ti2 platofrm is retained and X-Light spinning disk confocal s can be upgraded with photostimulation, TIRF and even super-resolution (e.g. N-STORM, STED). Available soon: DeepSIM super-resolution upgrade for the X-Light V3
